What's in a Class A Contractors License?
As a Certified Class A Paving Professional through Virginia’s DPOR and Maryland’s HIC, the level of expertise and knowledge that we have achieved far exceeds that of your everyday paving company.
Class A Contractors:

Can do any project in the state of Virginia without any monetary restrictions on the project.

Must pass background and financial checks to investigate the contractor's ethics

Must have over 5 years of experience required (Driveways By Us has 40 years of experience).

Must pass all parts of the Contractor License Business Exam.
Class B contractors:

Can only take projects up to $120,000

Need only 3 years experience in the field

Only have to pass 2 parts of the Contractor License Business Exam
Class C contractors:

Can only take projects up to $10,000

Need 2 years of experience

Do not have to take the Contractor License Business Exam

Are referred to as the 'Starter License'
